Crimson Radish micro cress is best used for savoury preparations. This little microgreen adds vibrant colour, flavour and texture to a range of savoury dishes and canapés. It’s best used raw, as an edible garnish. It pairs particularly well with cheese, including feta, goats cheese and mozzarella, as well as balsamic vinegar, beetroot, fennel, pears, and roast beef. Moreover, it can be used to dress soups, salads, sandwiches and stews. To make a punchy microgreen salad, Micro Crimson Radish cress can be mixed with other peppery greens, such as Mizuna or Mustard Frills. Koppertcress suggests pairing this micro herb with fatty dishes such as steak or tuna.

Taste: Just like Daikon and Pink Stem Radish, Crimson Radish micro cress has smooth heart-shaped leaves. These leaves are dark purple in colour, with very faint purple veins running across the surface. The flavour of the micro cress is vibrant and grassy. This flavour then develops and is reminiscent of a milder version of the classic spicy radish.
